Our Top Bilingual Kindergarten in Paris - The Garden Academy of language and culture (2024)

All the studies prove it: being in contact with a second language from an early age increases the chances of becoming bilingual and develops useful neurological pathways for all learning. So why not choose a bilingual English-French kindergarten or preschool for your child?

There are micro-crèches or private bilingual preschools throughout Paris, as well as inter-company structures. And in this offer, The Garden Academy offers a completely new approach: total immersion in English for 2-year-old children in three arrondissem*nts of the capital (15th, 7th, 5th).

Our native English-speaking team, trained in active pedagogies (Montessori, Freinet, STEM, etc.) provides children for their last year before starting school with a secure, stimulating, and 100% English-speaking environment. A first step towards bilingualism for French-speaking children, a reassuring framework for expat children.

In a bilingual crèche or preschool, your child will grow up in contact with qualified staff who are at least 50% bilingual for the establishments we have selected (see our Top below). In addition to the educational aspect, immersing themselves in an environment where different cultures rub shoulders from an early age will allow the child to develop their open-mindedness, adaptability and curiosity. The Garden Academy welcomes children from all over the world. More than half of our classes are made up of non-French-speaking expat children.

THE GARDEN ACADEMY

The Garden offers in its three schools in Paris, a year in preschool for children aged 2, which takes place entirely in English and according to so-called active pedagogies. We welcome children of all levels, whether they have never spoken English, whether they are bilingual or English-speaking, for a full-day or half-day. On a daily basis, we focus our workshops around themes that vary depending on the period. Thanks to our native English-speaking team, we allow children to spend days entirely in English in an international, enriching and fun environment! Everything you need to prepare them for school and a bilingual education.

BABILOU

Babilou is a network of crèches, one of which, in Paris, familiarizes children with learning English. Thanks to one of the native English-speaking Early Childhood auxiliaries, she has recently set up a bilingualism project. This auxiliary thus naturally exposes children to the sounds of English and accompanies them on a daily basis in the discovery of their mother tongue.

Within the Babilou crèche, supervisors guide toddlers in their development while adapting to their pace, needs, and skills to prepare them in the best possible conditions for their entry to school.

The Benefits of Language Learning

Learning a new language gives your child much more than becoming bilingual. Studies show that bilingual or multilingual children have greater abilities, especially for problem solving thanks to greater mental flexibility. And the results are even more impressive in the field of science and especially mathematics.

A bilingual crèche: what works best for my child?

A bilingual crèche, or an immersive pre-kindergarten as is the case at The Garden Academy, is for all children: monolingual or bilingual families, expatriates or inpatriates. Every child, whatever their mother tongue, their history and their environment, is able to welcome an early learning of English. Children’s neurological structures are incredibly flexible, and natural exposure to language allows them to assimilate it effortlessly.
