Keto Chili recipe that is whipped together in just 10 minutes and cooked in the slow cooker. This is the easiest healthy weeknight dinner the whole family will love.
Mmm it’s the time of year to hunker down and stay warm. What better way to do that then with this Keto Chili Recipe!
I love easy low carb dinners and this one fits the bill. In under 30 minutes you’ll have it all thrown in the crockpot and letting the magic happen. This is by far one of the easiest weeknight dinners out there that the whole family will love. Much like this Unstuffed Cabbage Soup. YUM.
Is Chili low carb and Keto Friendly?
It seems that many people wonder if you can eat chili while on the keto diet.ÂTraditional chili unfortunately is not low carb. Traditional chili has a ton of beans in it and those are unfortunately not low carb.
No fear though! We’ve made Keto Chili that is free of any beans and packed with that delicious chili flavor you are craving this season.
Chili without the beans
You would honestly think that chili without the beans wouldn’t make it chili. Our family and thousands of others who have enjoyed this recipe will whole heartedly have to disagree though. 😉
We personally like to load ours with peppers and chopped tomatoes to really bulk up the chili. Granted yes, this does increase the carb count justtttttt a little bit more than normal if you used less bell peppers but we find that 6NetCarbs for a bowl of chili that is going to fill me up is perfectly acceptable for a dinner. But that is us so as always do what works for you.
You can also add more beef, add some bacon or even switch it with ground turkey if you would like. This chili is versatile to no end… seriously.
Check out this fabulous chili seasoning from Evolving Table. Or this IP Chicken Enchilada Soup from Its Yummi
Low Carb Toppings to enjoy on our No Bean Chili
- Shredded Cheese – never can go wrong with some cheese.. ok A LOT of cheese.
- Green Onions
- Avocado / Guacamole – it’s slightly weird I’ll admit but delicious.. I like taco salad with guacamole and for some reason chili makes me think of Mexican flavors.
- Sour Cream
- Hot Sauce
- 90 Second Keto Bread – pretty tasty to soak up the chili juices!
- Low Carb Cornbread Muffins – same as the keto bread – nothing better than cornbread and chili together.
HOW MANY NET CARBS FOR OUR KETO CHILI RECIPE
6 Net Carbs when splitting this into 6 servings. 1 serving is enough to fill me up, especially if I pair it with a few Low Carb Cheese Chips.
The net carbs do not account for any additional sour cream or cheese you decide to put on top so do keep that in mind.
If you are new to this Low Carb/Keto lifestyle and are unsure what we are talking about please feel free toÂread up more on Net Carbs. Be sure to also check out our FREE Keto Macro Calculator to see how this keto chili fits into your individual plan.

It’s so hard doing keto without having to cook every day even for a quick snack, and I stumbled upon this. It was amazing! Perfectly spicy, and I added just a little extra beef stock! It’s still not soupy, and perfect! Thanks for the recipe! I

Every week I make this. Dairy free and keto. I read in the comments you like spicey stuff. I found chipotle powder and will never go back to plain ol chilli powder ? I actually add a whole box of beef broth to this and make cauliflower rice to add to it later. Adds more veggies. It’s more like a mexican stew I suppose. Anyway its delicious and I’m so thankful you posted this. Let me know when you make some more dairy free keto crock pot recipes!

Hi Shelley – so glad you enjoyed it! I’m becoming like this with smoked paprika lately… oh my word I am obsessed with smoked paprika right now ?
You just made me realize that I haven’t shared many slow cooker recipes here and we’ll put that in our mind when we are creating recipes. 🙂Reply

Amazing! I did a cup of beef broth and not the 1.5. So thick and plentiful. I topped with cheddar and avocado for servings. Amazing , so good. Thanks !

Glad you enjoyed! I also made this just the other week and omitted the broth entirely (just didn’t have it on hand LOL) and it was SO THICK BUT SO DIVINE! The husband said we need to make it like that more often ?

Unfortunately I found this chili to be extremely watery and lacking any sort of flavor. It tasted similar to eating ground beef in hot water. We followed the recipe to the letter but it did not turn out to be anything like we had expected based on the pictures above. This will sadly not be a repeat – I suggest to anyone that does make this to cut back on the amount of beef stock listed in the recipe.

Sorry you didn’t like this recipe Kristy! It definitely is not a THICK chili recipe and we believe our recipe video shows accurately what the results are. We do mention in the post that we season as mild and would recommend adding a little bit extra cayenne for an extra kick if desired. No worries though if this isn’t you ‘cup of chili’ ? We don’t expect to appease everyone when we all have different tastes and preferences. Cheers.

This can be frozen, right? I loooove chilli, and want to make this for next weeks meal prep.

Yeah I definitely don’t see why it wouldn’t be! We haven’t personally tried to freeze this specific recipe but everything that is in it would be fine for freezing! Enjoy 🙂

Does it have to be freshly grounded pepper and sea salt

Lindsay says
No. I LOVE freshly grounded pepper but use what you’ve got. 🙂

Ha! I was just told this year that I’ve been adding a bit more heat to things..You have just confirmed that.I admit I am a little bit on a spice kick.. perhaps my tastebuds are dying. 😉
Before my taste buds were dying and I use to be EXTREMELY sensitive to spice I would always half the spice said in a recipe and taste at the end, then add more then if necessary, always a good way that worked for me for years.

what size slow cooker did you use?

6 quart? To be honest I’m not entirely sure.. think it’s just the standard slow cooker size.

Will this work without the beef stock??

Lindsay says
It definitely needs a bit of liquid to thin the chili out. Feel free to add a bit of other stock or even water should be fine if you HAVE too.

Hi! I just made this recipe and when I put it into my food tracker it seems that the total calorie count per serving is 391 with 11 net carbs. Do you know why this is? I wouldn’t question it if it was a few off but it’s almost double the amount of carbs! Let me know thanks 🙂

Lindsay says
The only thing I can think of is perhaps your beef stock nutrition?? Depending on what one was chosen some beef stocks actually have wheat in them for thickeners. I’d think that would put the nutrition off a bit for carbs.. but not sure about the rest of it. We just double checked using our nutrition calculator and we got what we had originally. Sorry I can’t be of more help! We provide nutrition info as a courtesy and we try to be accurate but as always feel free to use your own calculations.

I really want to try this recipe, exactly what is a serving? 1cup? I 1/2 c. ? Minus the toppings.
Reply
-
Lindsay says
A serving 1/6th of what it makes. It’s a hefty serving, perhaps about 1 1/2-2 cups? I can’t say for sure what the measurement is. We split the dish into 6 even servings for meal preps.

Would it be fewer carbs per serving if i dodnt use a onion
Reply

Lindsay says
Yes about 1 carb less per serving if omitting the onion… Its does flavor the soup but totally up to you.

Your claim of “cooked all in the slow cooker†is completely false. Ingredients: 2lbs ground beef cooked….do you buy it cooked already?
Reply
-
Lindsay says
Sorry if you feel this is false. Our slow cooker actually allows me to cook my beef on the stovetop in the slow cooker dish and I’m not sure if all slow cookers are like this? I bought mine for this reason.. I hate doing extra dishes.

Jenn says
Wow Jon. I brown ground beef and Turkey in mine and then add everything else. I don’t like extra dishes either. 😉
